Bali is always a “Home” for me after Flores Island, every year on Summer holiday I took a trip there to meet my family members and friends ,I went around,visited some beautiful beaches,mountain area to take some pictures,and one of the place I used to visit was Tanah Lot which  is a Balinese Hindu Temple on the rock and the seawater encircles it when the sea water is tide and its one of the most popular places of interest in Bali , its an exciting place for tourist, to visit the temple on the rock with breathtaking view in the afternoon, is located on the coast of West Bali, at the village of Beraban in the Tabanan Regency. 

several things to view in this place, there are  sea snakes dwell the cave in front of  the Temple which you can see with small donation and those of them are believed the holy snake by the local community.

Tanah Lot Temple

 I took this image early morning , to  get a better view without people around and avoiding the traffic,the other thing is I would like to have a sunrise image from this area.this actually my first sunrise image from Tanah Lot, after i pick up my friend Jesse Estes from the airport we decided to take some pictures, so we drove all the way to tanah lot around 3 am and we have to wait for an hour or two for the sunrise.

we actually very lucky that morning to get a beautiful light.

 The other area in Bali that I like it very much is Padang padang (Suluban) beach and  is one of the famous surfing point in south Bali, it has a beautiful wave and is located in Pecatu village. its also a beautiful sunset spot for many photographer,a lot of people visiting this area too so you really need to find a perfect time to make a pictures without so many people around and ruin your pictures

on my visit at 2011 i did not get a good light from this area and i did not have much time in Bali as well so did not really have chance to go back there and taking more pictures.

Lake Batur is also a famous place in Bali Island,widest lake in this island, It lies down in the feet of Mount Batur and Mount Abang,and  its an old crater of Mount Batur which is an active volcano,At lake Batur you can see the scenic view and feel cool atmosphere,Jesse and I visited there and 2 times we were there we manage to capturing an amazing rays around the Lake,and as usual the fishermen was there too.

below is the second image with rays was taken on my last visit at Lake Batur,Bali  at 2011. I have to wait for the fishermen to come close to where I stand  before I can capture this image,and it was very lucky to have birds on the background as well.

I’m planning to visit bali again on Summer,I would like to explore more around Mount Batur,and taking more pictures of some other mountains around,including capturing local people and their activity.
