I spent a few days in Bangkok,Thailand on my way to Nepal, it was fun to Explore and I managed to visit the famous “Damnoen Saduak Floating Market” about 100 kilometers southwest of Bangkok. This buzzing market is at its best in the early morning before the crowds arrive and the heat of the day builds up, I arrived there a little late, around 8.30 am, once I got a ticket they took me directly to the boat and then the tour started, I was a little nervous to be in the boat alone, it was my first experience in such a small boat

Floating Market
After a few minutes on the Tour I started to enjoy the trip, the tour guide was very polite, well he had a hard time trying to explain to me about the tour in English and I had a crazy headache to try and understand his language as well so in the end we both gave up
I just asked him to stop here and there whenever I wanted to take some pictures
there were not many visitors in the market, when I was there. probably because i was a little late when I got there and most people were leaving.

Floating Market
I got stuck in a bit, enjoyed it for what it is, an aquatic cultural show festooned with abundant color and souvenirs. The variety of goods, everything from rattan balls, traditional puppets and fresh fruits to embroidered handbags, noodle soup and wide brimmed bamboo hats was impressive, and, much of what I saw, undeniably photogenic.

Colorful Souvenirs
The market tour done!
I went to Bangkok city to visit a few temples.
Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple) was my first destination, Located on Si Ayutthaya Road, near Chitralada Palace, this unique marble temple was constructed during the reign of King Rama V. It employs European ecclesiastic details, such as stained glass windows, and contains a superb cloister collection of bronze Buddha images.
it was difficult to take the photos of this building that day, there were just too many visitors, I had to wait and wait till no one was around
Wat Benchamabophit
From Wat Benchamabophit my driver took me to some other temples, I stoped at Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo, I tried to enter but I changed my mind,it was a super busy place, with so many visitors and it was under renovation.
Wat Pho
Wat Pho the temple of reclining Buddha is located behind the temple of the emerald Buddha, its the Largest temple in Bangkok.
highly revered for its enormous Buddha statue – 46 meters long and 15 meters high. As the name suggests, the gold-plated Buddha is lying down. The figure is beautifully inlaid with mother-of-pearl in the eyes and on the massive soles of the feet.
Buddha
Around 12 noon we drove to Wat Arun, I had Lunch there, a delicious Thai food and waited for Sunset but the weather was not looking friendly at all
so I decided to go back to the Hotel and have some rest and of course to enjoy Thai massage before flying back to Bali the next day
Thank you for stopping by.
